Started transfer drilling #30 the stabilator frame.

Built stabilator jigs. Continued transfer drilling #30 stabilator frame. Was starting to get lots of water from the compressor, so added a filter/separator near the bench. Also replaced the compressor drain valve with something that you can actually turn by hand.
Finished drilling stabilator frame, assembled it in the jig. Shaped the stabilator plate edges.

Assembled aft stabilator skins. Clecoed top of skin to rear spar, and then used tape to get the bottom of the skin into approximately the correct position to avoid distorting the top skin. Started transfer drilling #40 to the ribs on the top side.

Finished transfer drilling #40 to the ribs on the top side. Flipped the stabilator over and started working on getting bottom of skin aligned. Started transfer drilling #40 to ribs, but ran out of 3/32" clecos and need to wait for some more to arrive - ordered them 2 days ago so maybe they arrive tomorrow. (Whoever said you could do this with 200 each of 1/8 and 3/32 clecos must not be observing the 8-hour bottle-to-computer rule. At this point 400 1/8 and 300 3/32 seems barely adequate reasonable, and the fuselage and wings may require even more...) Found that a very critical part of getting the skin to lie correctly on the bottom was to ensure that the trailing edge at the 4-6 ribs needs to be shaped so that it comes straight off the rib, as shown in the second picture. Also, note that rear spar is not symmetrical - one flange is longer than the other, so its trailing edges do not align vertically. I assume that difference is why there are left and right aft skins.

Cut and shaped hinges for trim tab.

Received 25 more 3/32 clecos, and quickly used them up doing more transfer drilling #40 on skins. Order with 100 clecos each 3/32 and 1/8 due to arrive tomorrow.
No work.
Transfer drilled #30 aft skin to frame in order to free up 1/8 clecos. Installed forward skins and started transfer drilling #40 on bottom side of forward skins.

Finished transfer drilling #40 on bottom side of forward skins. Need to flip stabilator over to continue on top side.
No work.
Fitted forward skins on top side. Completed transfer drilling #40.
Started working on transfer drilling #30 on top side.

Installed anti-servo tab hinges. Completed transfer drilling #30 on top side.
Finished all transfer drilling, began disassembly of stabilator.
Finished disassembly. Began deburring and edge polishing of stabilator parts.
Continued deburring and polishing of stabilator parts.
