RANS S-19 N519MM Electrical System
(2010-01-23 I'm completely redoing the electrical control system for my S-19, so the information on the elEctrical system will be changing soon. The new system will have a control head in the panel with graphical display, and the control unit will be mounted behind the panel. The control unit will be using different connectors, and will be doing monitoring of the loads. The other wiring diagrams are current and correct.)
The electrical system for the S-19 will be based on a central control unit that will contain all switching and overcurrent protection, except for the alternator and voltage regulator circuit breakers which will be installed separately. The overall system diagram is shown below. Features designed into the control unit include;

Right Wing Wiring
The wing wiring has connectors at the root to facilitate independent construction and testing of the wings and fuselage. The right wing wiring uses one 5-pin JST JWPF connector for the lights, and a 4-pin JST JWPF for the fuel probe. The pitot mast is also mounted on the right wing. (Click for full resolution image)
Leftt Wing Wiring
The leftt wing wiring uses one 5-pin JST JWPF connector for the lights, a 4-pin JST JWPF for the fuel probe, and 8-pin JST JWPF for the Dynon remote magnetic compass module. . (Click for full resolution image)
Trim Servo Wiring
The trim servo wiring uses one 5-pin and one 8-pin JST JWPF connectors, one at the servo and one at the display. The wiring between the servo and display is shown below. (Click for full resolution image)
